Cairine Wilson Secondary School

The Run Ottawa Club, in co-operation with the Track & Field and Cross Country teams at Cairine Wilson Secondary School presents the Wildcat running series. The series will be modelled after the west-end Beaver Chase events, featuring low-key monthly races where participants can choose between approximately 1 mile and 5 kilometre distances. Funds raised at this run series will benefit the Track & Field and Cross Country “Wildcats” of Cairine Wilson.
This club event is an excellent opportunity to run with friends or family at a pace that suits personal fitness levels. Each run also has support along the route to simulate race conditions, for those who wish to test their limits.

Course information

The start and finish will be at Cairine Wilson Secondary School, at 975 Orleans Blvd, Orleans. The route will follow paved and unpaved trails adjacent to the school.

Timing/Results: All events in the Wildcat Series are manually timed. Volunteers call out times at the finish line and each runner is to self-report their times. Results will be posted on the Run Ottawa Club website shortly thereafter.

Entry Fees

The cost for each Wildcat Series event is $5 per person 13 years of age or older. The fee for 12 year-olds and under is just $2.

Registration is available on site on race day, starting approximately 45 minutes before the start of the race. There is no advance registration for this event.

Race Day Information

Dates: Mondays June 21, July 19, August, September 20 and October 18.
Time: All races start at 6:30pm except for the September and October events, which starts at 6:00pm.
Registration will open at approximately 5:45 on race days (5:15 on Sept. 20).
